Volunteer for us

A great way to enjoy your spare time is to work with a charity and whether you are a bridge player or not, EBED would love to hear from you. Whatever time you can spare, or whatever skills you have or would like to perfect, helping EBED as a volunteer could benefit both you and ourselves.

Here are few things you might like to consider:

Volunteering is part of the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme and many youth groups such as Scouts and Guides encourage young people to volunteer. At the other end of the age spectrum, retirement can be a time when you have some free time and want to continue to use the skills and qualities you gained in your working life. Students may also be seeking short term projects to build up their experience at any stage in their education, but especially before applying to a college or university or during a course as part of a degree or other qualification.

Here are just a few ways in which you can work with EBED as a volunteer but please keep an open mind and contact us if you have something else in mind. And remember, you don’t need to be a bridge player!

Creative - design work / art work / photography / video
Computer skills - undergraduate / postgraduate projects
Social media expertise - help us to spread the word
Assist with bridge events for any age group
Admin - specific projects
PR and marketing - advice, specific projects or research

n.b Working with children, young people and vulnerable adults will require a DBS check.
You may be required to sign our “Volunteer agreement”.
